An Accommodation Letter is a letter from an Adviser in DSS, which lists the specific academic accommodations for an individual student. A student who has an Accommodation Letter, dated in the semester in which the class is taking place, is currently registered with DSS and has provided the DSS office with medical documentation related to their disability.

Students initiate registration with DSS by completing the steps outlined at our link How to Register for DSS - SSU Disability Services for Students, which includes completing the Student Information Form, Providing Documentation, and Scheduling an “Intake Appointment.” If you need to check on your status with DSS, you may contact us at

- Enter the Meeting Number or URL link
- Click on the Join button
- Zoom will take a few seconds to launch but if it does not, download and run the Zoom installer or zoom.exe launcher. Select ZOOM.US then click on Ok (MAC) or Run (PC).
- If prompted enter your full name (First and Last)

- Add the Zoom meeting in your calendar with 15 minutes of lead time
- Find earbuds or a headset to use on the day of the Zoom meeting
- Schedule to be in a quiet space with strong wifi or internet access but is free of distractions
- Click on the Zoom link invitation and review teacher instructions for the upcoming meeting
