Disability Awareness Month
The DSS office is proud to celebrate Disability Awareness Month each April! Throughout the month, we host a variety of engaging programs and events that invite the SSU campus and local community to learn, connect, and celebrate the many ways disability enriches our world.
From presentations and hands-on activities to multimedia experiences and community conversations, our events encourage reflection, expand understanding, challenge assumptions, and highlight the diverse perspectives and contributions of people with disabilities.
We are excited to partner with colleagues across campus and throughout the community to offer a month-long series of activities centered on how disability contributes to a world of diversity. We welcome your participation and hope you’ll join us in celebrating throughout April.
If you have any questions, please contact the DSS office at 707-664-2677.
