Disability Awareness

Disability Awareness Month

The programming throughout Disability Awareness Month provides the SSU campus and local community members with an opportunity to collectively and individually reflect upon our own understanding of disability; increase our knowledge and understanding of the practical and social aspects of disabilities; challenge assumptions; and educate others and ourselves through presentations, hands-on activities, multimedia, and entertainment.

Our goal is to work collaboratively with our partners across campus and the local community to host a month-long series of events and conversations on the topic of how “Disability Contributes to a World of Diversity." We welcome your active participation during the month of April.

Please contact the DSS office at 707-664-2677, if you have any questions.
