Madelyn Boyd

About

Madelyn grew up in Sonoma County and is a recent graduate of Sonoma State University, where she double majored in Sociology and Women’s and Gender Studies. During her time as a student, she served as a Peer Mentor in the First and Second Year Transition Programs before joining Associated Students, first as Senator of Student Success and later as President during her senior year.

In her role as Associated Students President, Madelyn represented students both within the university and in the broader community, serving on a variety of committees across campus. Of all of them, she will always say her favorite was the DSS Advisory Committee, where she served for two years.

Madelyn was also registered with DSS throughout all four years at Sonoma State, making it especially meaningful for her to now be part of the team that supported her during her own college experience.

Outside of work, Madelyn loves reading anything that passes the Bechdel test and spending time at the beach.
