Dragon Naturally Speaking

Dragon Naturally Speaking (PC) is speech-recognition computer software for individuals who have difficulty using a standard keyboard and mouse. Dragon may also facilitate the learning process and improve writing skills for the student with dyslexia and for those who have word-retrieval difficulties, graphomotor challenges, or problems committing ideas to paper in a timely fashion.

Students use voice-commands to control computer operations and speech-to-text recognition to accomplish the following tasks:

• surf the web
• compose research papers on MS Word, Dragon Pad, Google docs, and other Google Apps
• dictate responses to homework questions
• reply to emails
• transcribe speeches
• respond to online discussions threads, quizzes, and surveys in Canvas
